The Lost and Found Policy and procedures are intended to ensure that items reported lost or found on Blake’s property are properly accounted for and, in the case of items found, returned to their rightful owner, or disposed of.
“Lost property” means any unattended, abandoned, misplaced, or forgotten item including but not limited to personal identification papers (driver’s license, credit cards, etc.), jewelry, glasses, phones, children’s items etc. which are found within the boundaries of Blake’s, pending the identification of the rightful owner or appropriate disposal thereof.
Blake Farms assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the care and/or protection of any personal belonging left unattended on farm property and for loss, under any circumstances, including theft, vandalism, or malicious mischief of such belonging.
Any items found shall be reported or turned into Customer Service to document and to allow item to be identified and potentially claimed.
Cell phones/electronic devices – After 30 days they will be turned into the local carrier of the device for a last chance to try and reunite with the rightful owner.
Clothing – After 30 days all clothing, children’s items, hats and similar items will be donated to a local charitable organization.
Credit/Bank Cards – After 30 days all bank & credit cards will be destroyed and disposed of.
Driver’s License – If the rightful owner cannot be contacted within 7 days, Driver’s License and identification cards will be mailed to the address listed.
Any individual making a request for a lost item must present a picture identification and a description of the item before it will be returned to them. If the item has no identification on it but the individual can describe it or open it (i.e. phone, tablet), the item will be returned to that individual.
