number OF VOLUNTEERS:
Groups of 5 – 15 volunteers per day are recommended. Working assignments will be assigned on the day of volunteering.
AGE REQUIREMENT:
Volunteers must be a minimum age of 15 years old.
DATES:
We are currently looking for volunteers on Saturday’s & Sunday’s starting September 23rd – October 29th
HOURS:
Daytime volunteers are needed from 11:30am – 7:00pm.
Evening volunteers are needed from 5:00pm – 11:00pm to work at Blake’s Big Apple
A note about shifts, if you split the shifts into two groups you will need double the amount of volunteers. Some groups choose to volunteer the entire shift while others have volunteers that will do one shift.
PAYMENT:
Blake’s will donate $10 per hour volunteered per person to your organization.
CANCELLATIONS:
We may decide we no longer need your group on a certain day due to business demand, and in that event we will do our best to contact you 48-hours in advance, so you can inform your volunteers.
In the event of bad weather, we may also decide to cancel, we will give you 24-hours notice about weather cancellations
TASKS & TRAINING:
Examples of tasks include bagging donuts, washing dishes, filling drinks, serving food and passing out apple bags.
As a volunteer with Blake’s Orchard, we want you to be safe and enjoy your time on the farm. Onsite training will be provided as needed and depending on the location/tasks assigned.
